Ninteenth century revisited. Wow!
The day I travelled in a time machine. I left Billingham in bright sunshine and went through the four seasons, to eventually arrived in Haltwhistle, once again in bright sunshine but a few degrees colder. The village is quaint, in it's Hadrains Wall setting, but the shop was a delight. I met the most charming Lady, named Valerie, who stepped me through all the restoration process and quoted me a price, while calmly seeing to other customers, answering the phone and controlling the dogs. Thanks Val, I'm looking forward to returning to collect my restored Bible, Best regards, Pete.
